Have You Encountered An Angel?

Insight Into the Scriptures
In verse 19:27, the significance of trimming the hair for men has symbolic value as a sign of manhood or virility.Cutting one's body was a cultist practice, this was done to attract a god's attention, or to ward off the spirits of the dead. In verses 20:2-5 you will read about "Children of Molech" this was the practice of sacrificing children to Molech (Idol worship)

I would encourage you to read chapter 20. It is a short chapter that has a lot of solid values. As I was reading this chapter, most of the punishment for these sins were death. I couldn't help but to be thankful, I thought that if we were living back then, most of us would have been killed, myself included. Thank you Jesus!I know that this passage is the Old Testament, but it has wonderful core values!

Leviticus 19:9-10
"When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD your God."

Thought for the Day
Before Christ did some heavy work on my heart; if I passed a person on the street asking for money, or drive by the guy on that same street corner every morning, I would think to myself, "Get a job you have legs", or "If I did give that person money, I figured they would just use it for booze or cigarettes". But, then God started to do some work in my heart, and those thoughts and excuses of why I did not help those people, left, and love and compassion started taking over.

In the verses above God told Moses to tell His people to do this, so that HIS poor and needy were taken care of. When you pass by a person that is poor and needy what is your reaction? Do you have my older state of mind? Maybe you pass by and say to yourself, "I'll pray for that person". I always try to think, how would Jesus handle this? I try to be Jesus in skin. Then, I think of the verse in Hebrews 13:2 where it says that some strangers I met, may have been angels.

We need to be Jesus here on earth. I do not know where your heart is, but I would encourage you not to look away, start with a smile, eye contact, or a hello. I know that by doing so, you will find yourself far more blessed that that person ever will be.

Closing Prayer
My Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the grace and mercy you so lovingly give me everyday. Thank you for the angels you put on earth with us, I pray Father that I can be a good example for those around me including and mostly my family. Please help me to grow more, love more and be more like You. Father I continue to pray for those in the war. I pray for the families that are hurting and scared. I pray for the children that are over there fighting for our country, please protect them. I love You!
In Your Name I pray, Amen

Is God Controlling Your Desires?

Insight Into the Scripture - Leviticus 15-18
Verse 16:29 States "Tenth day of the seventh month". This would be in the fall, ten days after New Year's Day. In our calendar it falls toward the end of September. The statement "Cut off from his people" is generally accepted as a belief that God would carry out the appropriate punishment. Not any judicial or social action that man could issue.

As I have been reading these passages of Scripture, God takes sin and uncleanness very seriously. So serious that if you came in contact with sin, you were now unclean and had to become clean again. The Old Testament has wonderful morals, we all need a little more Old Testament in our lives.

Leviticus 18:1- 5
"The LORD said to Moses, "Speak to the Israelite's and say to them: 'I am the LORD your God. You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the LORD your God. Keep my decrees and laws, for the man who obeys them will live by them. I am the LORD."

Thought for the Day
We have a wonderful 13 year old son. He has a great spirit, but, can be a little hardheaded at times. We make rules for him, not because we like to see him being punished or make his life difficult, but because we love him. We know that if we allow him to make a lot of wrong decisions, it could effect his future life. When he disobeys it effects our relationship with him, we do not change, but he pulls away from us and God's teaching.

The same is true for what God was trying to do. We all are human, you will never get rid of your human desires, but, we need to learn how to control them. We need to stay close to the Lord and keep our noses in His word, so His rules will become more than rules, it will become a way of life because life is God and God is holy.

In chapter 18 God sets some simple rules for sexual relations. We are all sexual creatures and have sexual needs and desires, and when used in the way God intended it is a beautiful gift. But, when abused it leads to sadness, broken families, disease, murder, guilt.... the list goes on and on. What God gives us as a gift, satan tries and does destroy. I would take time to read this chapter and live it. These verses apply to everyone, my 13 year old son, to the married man or women, live these passages, do not let satan destroy God's gift.

Closing Prayer
My Heavenly Father,
There are so many gifts that you give everyday, for that I thank You from the bottom of my heart. I pray Father that You will teach me how to use Your gifts and not abuse them. Help me Father to be strong against the enemy and WIN!
I love You!!
In Your Name I pray, Amen

Why Do You Serve Christ

Insight Into the Scriptures - Leviticus 11-13
In verse 13:45, when the person let his hair go unmanaged, torn clothing and face covered, these were the characteristics of a person in mourning.

Scripture 11:44-45
"I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy. Do not make yourselves unclean by any creature that moves about on the ground. I am the LORD who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy."

Think & Grow
Why do you serve Christ? Why do you choose to do the right thing verses do the wrong thing? Just stop for a moment, do not read on, and give an answer in your head.

When I was younger in my faith, I chose the right thing because it told me to do so in the Bible. You read the 10 commandments and you try very hard to follow those. But then as I grew in my faith the "Rules" still mattered, but my motivation changed to doing the right thing because He is Holy, I strive to be like Him more and more each day. I serve Him and do what is right because He is my God and King.

If the answer that you gave in the beginning was because it says so, maybe you need to push your relationship to the next level. Focus on Jesus and getting to know Him as the King He is, and then all the "Rules" will just come natural.

Closing Prayer
My Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the fellowship and time You allow me to have. I pray Father that You help me to be closer to You, to get to know You better. I long to be closer to You, but I am so human sometimes, I forget...to seek You. And for that I am sorry. Father I pray for those that do not even have the knowledge of Your existence. I pray that they will hear the truth and come to know how great and loving You are.
In Your Name I pray,
Amen

Is Jesus a Priority In Your Life?

Insight Into the Scriptures Leviticus 7-8
When making sacrifices, the fat part they are speaking about in the Bible is the layer of fat around the internal organs, it could be easily peeled off and is inedible. The ephod was the most important of Aaron's priestly garments. It was either a linen robe covering the upper body or a frontal piece attached to the shoulders and sashed to the waist.

Aaron and his sons could not leave the entrance to the Tent of Meetings for seven days. This was to protect them from any uncleanness that they might encounter by leaving.

Think & Grow
Today, I thought that I would share with you something that just recently happened to me. My wife runs a little business and God was blessing her work. She was becoming busier and busier. As this was happening, guess what she started to do? Her "Jesus time" started to become less and less, She kept putting priority on her work (Which He actually was blessing) and spending less and less time with Jesus. Finally, after a couple of weeks she was feeling very disconnected with Christ, and I was wondering why?

Right away, she made time for Jesus whether she felt that she had it or not. There were some days that she did not think everything was going to get done, but it did. And, actually our little business continued to be blessed by God. One interesting point was that as soon as she started to make time for Him again, her feeling of being close to Him did not improve right away, it took maybe a week or so.

Jesus has to take priority in your life. It is not easy to do with "Life" coming at you every day and sometimes every hour. It is something that you are going to have to work on. If you start your day and tell yourself that I will spend time with Jesus later on in the day, chances are it will never happen, plus you have the enemy that will throw anything in your path to distract you. Make an appointment for Jesus, just as you would any other person, and stick to it. If you are on a wonderful routine, fight hard to never let anything come in between that time, Jesus will honor your commitment!

Closing Prayer
My Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the awesome time I have everyday to spend with. To breath in every breath and think of You, is so wonderful and forfilling. I pray Father that I can keep my appointment with You everyday. Help me to stop and remember how good it feels to spend that one on one time with You. Father I ray for all of those who are lost and seeking. I pray I hear the right words from You and know the moments that You are giving me. I love You!!
In Your Name I pray,
Amen

Life In Christ Is A Life of Freedom

Insight Into the Scriptures
I found it very interesting, when they stole something, they would pay that person back the value of the item took, plus 1/5 interest. What a neat concept.

When I started reading the Bible seriously, I always thought that the Old Testament was boring and dry. But, since that time the Old Testament has really come alive for me. This is the way God started it His relationship with man. There are alot of neat principles that would be useful in today's age.

Leviticus 5:5-6
"When anyone is guilty in any of these ways, he must confess in what way he has sinned and, as a penalty for the sin he has committed, he must bring to the LORD a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him for his sin."

Thought for the Day
Sin is ugly. There are no two ways around it, just plain ugly. I would hope that sin is something that you are ashamed of, something that you would not be proud of. It usually is hurtful to other people and for the most part looked down upon by a lot of people. Add all those things together and no wonder people keep sin locked up inside themselves.

But, that is just where satan wants you to keep it, and to keep you! Trapped inside, feeling ashamed, ugly, and discouraged. I know that all sin is equal, but in my past I have done some things that I am terribly ashamed of. For the longest time, that sin controlled my life, it kept me down, I felt trapped by it and the choices I had made, satan was winning. Finally, I found my peace in Christ, and one of the BIGGEST things that helped me, was to admit it, not only to Christ, but to other believers. It was amazing how freeing it was, it was like a weight was lifted off of me, and satan had nothing on me anymore.

Life in Christ is a life free of chains and bonds, it is a life of freedom. Christ paid for your freedom, you need to take what is rightfully yours. if satan has you bound by past sin, break those chains today, live your life in Christ!

Closing Prayer
Dear God,
I am so glad that You are on my side, or is it that I am on your side! I know that I am a sinner Father, but I know that sin will eat away at me and satan would love that. Father I pray that everyday You will help me to focus on you, see my sin and tell someone I trust. Father I pray that you will release satan's strong hold on me and help me be free and closer to You. Thank you for always loving me, always forgiving me and having grace and mercy on me.
I love You!
In Your Name I pray,
Amen

Jesus Paid The Price

Insight Into the Scriptures
The book of Leviticus was written by Moses around 1445 - 1444B.C. The setting takes place at the foot of Mount Sinai, it is a handbook for the priests and Levites teaching them their duties in worship, and how to live as a holy people.

Today we start with the book of Leviticus. While it may seem out dated and the rituals strange, always keep looking toward Christ and how these things that God was teaching Moses and His people relate to Jesus.Leviticus is also a book on how to live holy to God. Holiness is mentioned more times in this book than any other book in the Bible.

Leviticus 1:3
"If the offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he is to offer a male without defect. He must present it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting so that it will be acceptable to the LORD. He is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him. He is to slaughter the young bull before the LORD, and then Aaron's sons the priests shall bring the blood and sprinkle it against the altar on all sides at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting."

Thought for the Day
Try and put yourself in the person's place that was going to sacrifice a bull. First off you have to take one your best bulls from your flock. One that is the strongest, without defects, this is not be easy because this is your livelihood and it is your best, so it is a loss that you will feel.

Second, YOU have to place your hand on the bulls head, take responsibility for it's death, and slaughter your bull. Maybe while raising this bull you have become attached to it and it's personality. I know that it was a different time back then, but I know that I would have a hard time slaughtering and cutting up any kind of animal.

What God was trying to teach His people, is that sin had consequences, something had to pay the price for the sin of the person. Something had to die for that persons sin. Well, times have changed and we do not have to sacrifice animals anymore, Jesus took that place and suffered much more than any of those animals did. Today, I would thank Jesus for loving us so much to make that incredible sacrifice once and for all.

Closing Prayer
Dear Jesus,
Father I could never know what You went through on that cross, but I thank You from the bottom of my heart and I pray that I can each day make You proud. I pray Father that You would lead me to be more like You and less like me. I pray Father for those suffering heartache, pain and brokenness. I pray that You will bless them and give them peace and comfort. I love You and thank You for the sacrifice You made so that I can be with You.
In Your Name I pray,
Amen

Is God Using You?

Insight Into the Scriptures - Exodus 40
The tabernacle was erected on New Years Day, two weeks short of the anniversary of the exodus event and exactly nine months after the people arrived at Mount Sinai.

Exodus 40:16,19,21,23,25,27
16 Moses did everything just as the LORD commanded him.
19 Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering over the tent, as the LORD commanded him.
21 Then he brought the ark into the tabernacle and hung the shielding curtain and shielded the ark of the Testimony, as the LORD commanded him.
23 and set out the bread on it before the LORD, as the LORD commanded him.
25 and set up the lamps before the LORD, as the LORD commanded him.
27 and burned fragrant incense on it, as the LORD commanded him"...... I think you get my point....... As the Lord commanded him.

Thought for the Day
As I was reading the passage today, I noticed one phrase that came up again and again. Then I looked back at the old passages, and that phrase was everywhere. I was once told that while you were reading God's word, if you read a word or phrase once, you might take note of it. If you have to read that word or phrase two times, you might want to take note of it, but if that word or phrase is mentioned as many times as "The Lord commanded", God REALLY wants you to get this point.

Moses was an amazing person and had an amazing relationship with God. Why? Of course Moses was human and he made mistakes, but most of the time, when God told Moses to do something, Moses did it. Take the construction of the tabernacle, God gave Moses a lot of detailed instructions. Moses did not let his ego or his knowledge play into it and say, "I think that the lamp stand should be here and that the courtyard is all wrong, it should be 150 cubits on the south side instead of 100 cubits". I can see a new HGTV show "Moses, Flip this Tabernacle".

No, Moses did exactly what the Lord commanded him. If you find that you are not being used by God, or maybe your relationship is not where you want it to be, are you being faithful in the little things? Before God can use you for big things, you need to show Him that you can be faithful in the little things.

Closing Prayer
Father it is so wonderful to have You there to guide me through each day. I pray that you will use me each day to help better Your kingdom. I pray Father that You will help me with the little things in life that I will keep my eyes on You and show You that I am faithful. I love you!!
In Your Name I pray,
Amen

Are You Holy To The Lord?

Insight Into the Scriptures
The total weight in Gold used for the tabernacle was estimated at 2,210.65 pounds. WOW! The total amount of silver given and used for the embellishment was 7,601 pounds.

After I have read about all the gold, silver, and bronze that was used in constructing the tabernacle, it must have been amazing to look at.

Have you also wondered how Moses instructed the workers to construct the tabernacle? God gave only Moses VERY detailed instructions on how to build the tabernacle, I do not think Moses had a mobile device, computer, or tape recorder. I would guess that God's spirit helped Moses recall all the info??? What do you think?

Exodus 39:30-31
"They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and inscribed it like the engravings of a signet, "HOLY TO THE LORD.
"They fastened a blue cord to it, to fasten it on the turban above, just as the LORD had commanded Moses."

Thought for the Day
As you read the passage above, you will read that God wanted to set the priests apart from everyone else. So, God told Moses to place a gold plate that stated "Holy to the Lord" on the priest turban. This was done in the old law when a person had to approach God through a priest. Jesus changed all that, now we can approach the almighty ourselves, we do not need a priest anymore, we have direct access to Christ. So, we should all have "HOLY TO THE LORD" (Maybe not as a plate on our head) but it should be on your mind and as the gold plate was seen to others in the days of Moses. People should see your plate "HOLY TO THE LORD" shinning. Do they?

I read what "HOLY" means in Strongs Concordance, it means set apart as dedicated to God, set apart exclusively for the presence of God. So, what does it mean to you to be "HOLY TO THE LORD"? To me, it means several things, but, I believe the most important is to keep my mind "HOLY TO THE LORD". In today's world there is so much that can draw your mind into impure things, such as other women, violence, anger, and money. It is easy to let my mind and eyes wander and start to focus on those impure things. Soon "HOLY TO THE LORD" becomes wholly to the world.

Today, I would think what it means to you to be "HOLY TO THE LORD". Are you living up to your expectations and God's?

Closing Prayer
Dear Jesus,
Father thank you for the bible that You have given us, so that we can learn more about You, become closer to You and most importantly to learn how to be with You for an eternal life. Father I pray today that I will seek You and learn to be Holy, help me to see Your ways and not choose mine.
In Your Name I pray,
Amen

Do You Seek Gods Glory?

Insight Into the Scriptures
When the Israelite's gave gold to help construct the tabernacle, they would perform a wave offering. This was a way of offering them to God and consecrating the pieces for it's purpose. It is estimated that 5350 pounds of bronze was used to construct the tabernacle.

As you are reading the scriptures, God calls himself many names. In Exodus 34:14 He calls himself Jealous, I really love that, the Creator of the Universe is Jealous of my time and attention. How cool!

Exodus 31:1-7
"Then Moses said, "Now show me your glory." And the LORD said, "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.

"Then the LORD said, "There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.

"Then the LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the LORD. And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, "The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation."

Thought for the Day
This passage of scripture has always made me jealous. How amazing to have The Lord pass by you and show you all of His glory. But as I read the passage over and over again, I realized that Moses was seeking The Lord, and he asked God to show him His Glory. At one point in my life I began to seek God and His will with every ounce of me. Since that time, God has been revealing Himself to me, maybe not in the way He did to Moses, but I know that I will never be finished seeking Him until I go home.

Did you notice how God responded to Moses? God did not say He was the Creator, Supreme Being, Lord of All. He responded as compassionate, gracious, slow to anger and abounding in Love God. That is the Glory of God.
When was the last time you asked God to show His glory to you? The more that you seek Him, the more that He will reveal Himself to you. God wants an open deep relationship with you, all we need to do is ask and seek.

Closing Prayer
Dear Jesus,
With everything in me I seek hard to find You Father. I pray that you will open my eyes and my heart so that I do find You and praise Your name. Father I pray that You help me to rest during my day and give You the glory. Please help me to be the one you want me to be and be there for others, so they see Your great love.
I love you!!
In Your Name I pray,
Amen

Are You Using Your God Given Talent?

Insight Into the Scriptures
There were several types of offerings, when the priest made sin offerings everything had to be burned, nothing could be saved or eaten by the priests, it had become contaminated. In verse 29:20 it talks about blood being put on the earlobe, thumb, and big toe. Blood is used to make the altar fit for service, same for the ear to hear the word of God, hands to perform sacrifices, and foot to lead the people.

This is a model of God's Tabernacle. Notice the one entrance, as you enter the altar was in front of you, where you could take care of your sins and forgiveness before the priests met with God. It is so neat to get a visual of these places, it makes the Bible come alive. I pray that you have a Blessed weekend and a restful Sabbath.

Exodus 31:1-7
"Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, See, I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

"I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship, to make artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in bronze, and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, that he may work in all kinds of craftsmanship.

"And behold, I Myself have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all who are skillful I have put skill, that they may make all that I have commanded you: the tent of meeting, and the ark of testimony, and the mercy seat upon it, and all the furniture of the tent."

Thought for the Day
As I was reading this passage of scripture I could not help to think that God has given us each a special talent. If you read the above passage God says that He called or chose Bezalel and Oholiab and filled them with His spirit, knowledge, and wisdom for the tasks that He needed them to complete.

Just think if Bezalel and Oholiab did not want to complete the task given to them. Maybe they might have doubted themselves and thought that they were not talented enough or that it would have not have been good enough. What a waste of God given talent, I am sure God would have found a way to accomplish His task, but they would have missed out on an amazing blessing of being apart of when God moved.

God has given each of us a talent that in some way can be used for Him. Do you know what your talent is? If you do know what it is, are you using it? God chose you, He gave you wisdom and knowledge for His purpose, it would be such a shame to miss out of using your God given talent. I can tell you that there is no feeling in the world, then being there when God moves, nothing compares!

Closing Prayer
Dear Jesus,
Thank you Father for making each of us, one of a kind and so unique. To think of the variables of only 4 different colors of hair, eyes and skin, and all the billions of us look different in some way! You are amazing.
Father please help me to use my God given talent, help me to see it and not be afraid to use it.
I pray for all of those that are fighting the war, I pray for their safety and their families.
I love you!!
In Your Name I pray,
Amen

Do You Have A Meeting Place With God?

Picture used with permission by BiblePlaces.com

Insight Into the Scriptures
Today you will read the measurements that God gave Moses for His meeting place. It is hard to grasp the sheer size of these items. For example the curtains in v 26:1-6 total measurements are 60 feet by 42 feet.In v 26:14 they refer to a sea cow or dolphin hide. This would serve for good waterproofing. The size of the tabernacle was 75' x 150' divided into two equal parts (75' x 75')

As you read the Old Testament ALWAYS keep in mind that everything points to Christ. When I read a passage of Scripture, I always ask myself, how does this tie in with Christ.

For example, take the tabernacle. God was setting up a place His people could come to Him, later Jesus took the place of that tabernacle. See if you can see the connections, the tabernacle had one entrance, there was only way to God. You had to physically enter into the tabernacle, first thing you saw was the Altar (Forgiveness), blood of a perfect lamb was used for forgiveness of sin...... you could go on and on.

Exodus 27:20-21
"Command the Israelite's to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning. In the Tent of Meeting, outside the curtain that is in front of the Testimony, Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps burning before the LORD from evening till morning. This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for the generations to come." (NIV)

Thought for the Day
As I was reading the chapters for today, I could see the length that God went into describing to Moses how His tabernacle was to be built. God did not tell Moses to throw up a tent anyway he liked and we will meet there. It was a very special place for God, this is why He wanted the lamps to always be burning, He always wanted a visual of His presence in there.

Do you have a meeting place with God? Don't get me wrong, God is always with us, but do you have a place where you connect with Jesus. I find that I connect with Jesus in silence, my wife finds a connection in nature. Once I set up my "Tent of Meetings" my relationship with Christ just grew ten fold. I find that after I meet with Christ I am refreshed, my being glows with Christ just as Moses did after he met with God.If you do not have a "tent of Meetings" I would encourage you to set up one. Enter Jesus in your mobile device if you have to, find the way you connect with Him. I know that He will honor your efforts to seek him and you will reap the benefit of a life in Christ.

Closing Prayer
Dear Jesus,
Thank you Father for being wherever I am, but I pray that You will help me to focus on my time with You, help me to remember during my busy day to stop and look up. Father I pray that You will give me a Divine Appointment today where I can spread the glory of You.
I Love You!
In Your Name I pray,
Amen

Take What Is Rightfully Yours

Insight Into the Scriptures - Exodus 23-25
The Feast of Unleavened Bread signals of the beginning of the barley harvest (March - April) Feast of Harvest or Feast of Weeks or Pentecost. This marks the end of the wheat harvest season. Feast of In gathering is the final harvest, it occurred in the autumn prior to the onset of the rainy season and marked the beginning of a new agricultural year.

Blessings
As you are reading the chapters for today you will come across God telling Moses exactly how He wanted the Ark (25:10-22) Table (25:23-30) and Lamp stand (25:31-40) built. The dimensions are exact and organized. If you are ever seeking God's will and wondering if it is His will or yours, look at your action plans; are they like the character of God? If so, I would guess it is God's will.

Exodus 23:31
"I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the River. I will hand over to you the people who live in the land and you will drive them out before you."

Thought for the Day
God promised His people; the Israelite's "The Promised Land" a land flowing with milk and honey. The square miles of this land was close to 300,000, but the Israelite's only occupied 30,000 sq. miles. Why did they not take all what was promised to them? Did God go back on His promises? No, they never took what was rightfully theirs due to lack of faith, trust, and fear.

This is a great lesson for all of us (Including me) to learn. As God's children, He has promised us a life full of blessings, a life full of milk and honey, but we never take what is rightfully ours for the same reason the Israelite's missed out on theirs. One area of my life I am learning to trust and put aside my fears is our finances. God promises and in fact He tells us to test Him on this, if we tithe, He will open the floodgates of heaven. Our family has been tight on money, but, I have made it a point to trust and tithe when it was not there. It has been hard for me because that money equals security (Earthly security not heavenly) God is just beginning to open the floodgates of heaven to our family. I am trusting God, and taking what is rightfully mine.

Are you taking what is rightfully yours? Or only accepting a 10% due to the lack of faith, and fear?

Closing Prayer
Dear Jesus,
Thank you Father for the promises that you give us and keep. Thank you for always being there for me and knowing exactly what is best for me. Help me to trust you Father and not the world. I love You!!
In Your Name I pray,
Amen
