1 Samuel 12-14:23

Holy Week
Blessings~
This week I thought that we would honor Christ and prepare our hearts and minds for Resurrection Sunday. We will break away from our walk through the Bible, and follow Christ on His walk leading to the Cross.I would encourage you to keep walking through the Bible. We will leave the passage for today's Scripture on top.

This picture is another view of the temple. This shot was taken as aerial photo from the east side. It really is majestic, isn't it? Today, the plot was set in stone to take Jesus down. If you would like to see more pictures of the Temple, please click on the picture. This picture was taken from Bibleplaces.com

Wednesday
The Plot Against Jesus
14 Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15 and said, "What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?" And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. 16 And from that moment he sought an opportunity to betray him. - Matthew 26:14-16

Thought for the Day
There are so many verses in the New Testament where Christ tells us that we cannot serve money and Him. It is impossible. But I feel that we need to take that a step further, you can't serve ANYTHING and Christ. One always takes the place of the other, and I would guess that it is Christ that gets the short end of the stick.
Our family was very busy today with moving and trying to keep our business going at the same time. I was very stressed out because I had alot to do, and I thought of skipping my time with GOD to continue working and making more money. Then a thought came over me, what if one day Jesus told me that He did not have enough time for me, He was so busy in China all day, He thought it would be OK if He skipped me today.
Because Christ did not have time for me today I got into a car accident; he was not there to protect me. And our business took a dive; He was too busy to bless our work. Then our son was arrested for buying drugs; Christ Spirt left so He could not tell him it was wrong......... I am sure that you get the picture. How would you feel if Christ told YOU that?
Judas gave us a good example of letting his love for money get in the way of Christ. I know that is it hard, I believe that we all have a little "Judas" in all of us. My question would be how much "Judas" do you have in you?

Closing Prayer
Dear LORD,
Thank you that you are never too busy for us. Thank you for all the love and protection that you provide us. We praise YOUR name! Dear Jesus we live in a human world with human emotions. Please let your Spirt fall on us hard, and give us the consuming fire to know You better. WE LOVE YOU!
In YOUR Amazing Name!
Amen

Bible Trivia
What did Jesus say He would arrive in when He returns to earth "with power and great glory?

ANSWER: In a CLOUD

Luke 21:27 -
"Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with power and great glory.

Matthew 24:27
For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Luke 12:54
KJV: And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.

"So it is:" will be with the Coming of Jesus in the CLOUD with power and great glory.....

In searching fro meanings and symbolisms I found where CLOUDS are a symbol of destruction . This surely is what Jesus is bringing with Him to the evil that has reigned on the earth for all the years, DESTRUCTION. As found in Luke 12:54 that when a cloud is seen the west you can believe that rains is to come. The cloud that brings this rain is bringing a life giving substance. This rain comes to bring Life, so does Jesus. He comes as the Living Water to those that are living in and are dead in Him. RESURRECTION / NEW LIFE.

The Cloud that Brings The Son of Man will be ushering in DESTRUCTION AND LIFE at the same time.

Luke 12:54
KJV: And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.

The below is to show something about the 30 pieces of silver

Silver -
represents the truth.
"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times." Psalm 12:6

#30 represents perfectiom:
1. Jesus was 30 when he presented his life in consecration
2. Priests could serve in the Tabernacle when they were 30.

Jesus was sold for 30 pieces of silver. He was God's PERFECT TRUTH

I love the study of God's Word and the truths contained there in. If I could do but one thing besides lead all that come my way to Salvation it would be create a hunger in all for the Word and to rightly divide it.

IN CHRIST
