Proverbs 16-19

Commit Your Plans to the Lord - Proverbs 16-19

Listen to Proverbs 16-19

Good Morning!
The chapters that we are in right now are the Proverbs of Solomon. They started in chapter 10 and go through chapter 22:16.
I am not sure if you picked up on this, but, as I have been reading the last chapters you can almost sense Solomon's pattern of thought. It is like he had this concept that he was trying to express on parchment, so he works around that thought.

Focus VersesCommit to the LORD whatever you do,
and your plans will succeed.
The LORD works out everything for his own
ends-
even the wicked for a day of disaster. -
Proverbs 16:3-4
In his heart a man plans his course,

but the LORD determines his steps. - Proverbs 16:9
Many are the plans in a man's heart,
but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails. - Proverbs - 19:21

Thought for the Day
Stop for a minute and think of how many decisions that you make in one day? Hundreds.....maybe thousands? I would bet that a large portion of your decisions would be quick, split second decisions. What am I going to wear? What am I going to eat? What TV program should I watch?
On the other hand I would guess that you make some decisons that might require more thinking than just a split second. In making these decisions you might try and weigh the outcome of the decision. What happens if I choose this way, or that way????? Stop and think for a minute, how many of those decisions do you wish you would have chose differently, so that the outcome would have been different? I know that I have made TONS to decisions that I wished I could have changed.
I know that Christ cares about every decision that you make. He may not be so concerned what shoes you wear, but He wants to see you make the best decisions for your life. He WANTS to bless you. So knowing that Christ wants to bless you, how many of you give Him the chance to bless you?
Alot of decisions that we make, do not have to be decided right them. We have time on our side, but we feel that we have to quickly decided right now. Why is that? Maybe we feel better when we can check that off our list of things to do?
As the verse say above, if you commit to what you are going to do for the Lord, He will make your plans succeed. You see if you included Jesus, He can direct you, or change events in your life to help you make a better decision. Jesus has all the events lined up to make you a sucess, you just need to ask Him to be apart of them.

Bible Trivia:
Who was cursed with pain in childbirth?

ANSWER: Eve

Genesis 3:16-20
16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

AGRANNY RAMBLES:

The curse that was placed upon woman in child-bearing can be for the Christian a reminder of God's deliverance for us. At the end of all the pain and travailing giving
birth of a child there is a blessing. I love to read what Jesus said in:

John 16:21:
travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world'.

For most women at the birth of a child, dispite any pain indured, we experience a great exsuberance of happiness and joy, we most often forget ourselves and the first thing we want to know is how is the baby.

Even though childbirth is under a curse, it can be beautiful and as I said in the beginning can remind us of God's promise of deliverance.

The groaning and travailing and the pain of the WORLD is its
birth pains in the anticipation of a delivery unlike non other. It is the birth of a new world, that is in line with the perfect will of all God's original intentions, purposes and promises upon HIS creation of the world and MAN. The growing great expectation of this occurrance and realization not only will the children of God be delivered so shall ALL CREATIONS, from the bondage of decay into the liberty of the Gods children (US that are HIS)

Romans 8:19, 21, 22

19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

So yes, we indure much pain in childbirth and yes it was placed upon us by our Just God but at the same time It sure can be used to teach us much of His Love and deliverance that is forth coming.

I have just read something that I just felt I had to share with others. It is another one of those short stories that come to us over the internet.

I know how the subjest of this story has become so vital to my everyday life and not just mine but most in todays society. This story maybe will cause me to think of the WORD OF GOD everytime I use the subject of this short story.
ENJOY.................................................................
THE CELL PHONE vs. THE BIBLE

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to our kids as a gift?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being "disconnected" because of an unpaid bill. Jesus already paid the bill in-full.

And just think--no dropped calls! God hears them all!
