Are You Tired Waiting For God?

Are You Tired On Waiting For God?

God's timing is never our timing, but God's timing is always perfect. Joseph was taken into slavery when he was 17, but did not enter into Pharaoh's service until he was 30, 13 years of waiting. Plus, to make Joseph's situation worse, after the cup bearer was released, it took him 2 years to remember Joseph. Why did God make Joseph wait this long? Maybe God was doing some heart work on him, whatever God's case, Joseph was faithful in waiting.

Always give glory to God. We have seen a big turn around in Joseph. At first he was young and somewhat cocky. Now Joseph is humble and God's servant. When Pharaoh asked Joseph to interpret his dream, Joseph answered that he could not do it, but God could Joseph showed great humility. In Genesis 41:33 when Joseph told the Pharaoh that he needed to find someone to put in charge, Joseph did not offer his services, he trusted God and let him work.

Is Jesus Waiting For You?

Is Jesus Waiting For You?

Is Jesus Waiting For You?
If you were not a follower of Christ and if you were to read the Bible from cover to cover, I could not help to think that the person reading could not help to think "These Christians sure do have a hard time." I mean let's face it 11 out of Christ's 12 disciples were martyred, GOD's own son suffered a terrible death, they were always struggling with sin and doing the right thing in a world that does not want to accept them or what they stand for.

For the most part it is true, anyone that has been a Believer knows that life here on earth is not the easiest. So, when then would you want to become a "Christian?" Let me stop here for a minute. If you are saying to yourself that I am a Christian, and my life is pretty easy, you need to move closer to the front lines. You need to become dangerous for Jesus, satan needs to shake in his boots when he hears your name, knowing that you do damage to his mission.

So, to get back to the question, why would anyone want to take this on....the heart ache, going against the world? Well...........
Once you have met Jesus, He changes your life. I would guess that this is the case with most of the people in the Bible, once you have met Jesus, your life is changed forever. You will feel love, acceptance, and peace at a new level (These are just to name a few!) For me and I am sure others, Jesus came and rescued me, when I did not deserve it. I have personally seen things that should have not happened, I have seen things that I can't explain how they happened, except..... that was Jesus.

The other reason, is our reward is not this earth. It is meeting this person; Jesus face to face and spending a lifetime with Him in Heaven. I personally can not fathom meeting Jesus....... my words can't describe it. But, beyond that we will live forever in heaven; a place that even if you tried to imagine how amazing it is going to be, you can't. It is beyond what you can imagine. WOW.

We need to remind ourselves of this, because yes, we are not at home here, our home is heaven. And yes, things down here sometimes are not easy, they are down right hard. So fight the good fight, keep running the race, knowing that when you are done, Jesus will be waiting in heaven for you!

Jeremiah 37:14-15
"That's not true!" Jeremiah said. "I am not deserting to the Babylonians." But Irijah would not listen to him; instead, he arrested Jeremiah and brought him to the officials. They were angry with Jeremiah and had him beaten and imprisoned in the house of Jonathan the secretary, which they had made into a prison. Jeremiah was put into a vaulted cell in a dungeon, where he remained a long time.

Finding Peace In God

Are you are ready to GO, but God is telling you to wait?

Waiting Upon God

Insight Into Scripture

The pool of Gibeon was not just a pool, it was a water system for Gibeon. In time of battle the city could rely on their own water system. It is estimated that 3,000 tons of rock had to be removed to build this system.

The butt end of a spear is made reference several times. (2:23) The butt end of the spear was honed to a point, it was for a goad or to stick the spear into the ground. It sounds just as lethal as the "Sharp" end.

Pool of Gibeon
This picture may be the Pool of Gibeon. The Bible makes references to the "Pool of Gibeon" several times. This must have been a popular spot to gather around. This is the spot where David's men defeated Abner's men. (2 Samuel 2:8,17) The Bible tells us that the fighting was fierce. Click to see more pictures of Gibeon. Scripture Reading
11 Then David and all the men with him took hold of their clothes and tore them. 12 They mourned and wept and fasted till evening for Saul and his son Jonathan, and for the army of the LORD and the house of Israel, because they had fallen by the sword. - 2 Samuel 1:11-12

Think n Grow
As we further look into David's character, David's expression of love and sorrow impressed me. Saul was a man who truly wanted David dead, yet David mourned Saul's death as that of a best friend or father. David respected Saul's position as the anointed King, even though he was the new king and he may have not agreed with how Saul ruled.

A thought comes to mind. A lot of times I think that I am ready for a task, but YAHWEH knows different. I am ready to go, go, go, but HE says "Not yet." It is hard for me to wait because I like to get things done, but I have learned that YAHWEH's timing is always perfect.

A good example is David. He was anointed king, so what did he do? Went back to attending his sheep until the time was right. I believe that David found security and peace in YAHWEH no matter where or what situation he was in. Maybe you are in a situation like David. You are ready to GO, but YAHWEH is telling you to wait. I would encourage you to do as David did, find your peace in HIM. When the time is right, HE will move you and it will be so much better if you wait upon HIM.

Closing Prayer
Dear Jesus
Thank You Father for the prayers of others that we get to pray for. I pray Father that You will help me to be slow to react and quick to listen to You. I pray that I know when it is You moving and not me. I pray that I am obedient and make You proud. Take my heart Father and mold it. In Your Name I pray ever so deeply.
Amen
