GOD is Always Previous - Isaiah 5-9 Listen to Isaiah 5-9
Greetings! It is good to be writing you again. Yesterday, I gave you alot of background information on Isaiah. Here are a few more important reading facts that will help you with understanding Isaiah.
Chapters 1-39 is in Israel's time of Assyrian threat and Babylon. Chapters 40-66 deals with the future of Israel and Jerusalem.
Isaiah 6 - Isaiah's Vision & Commission
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another:
"Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." - Isaiah 6:1-3

Thought for the Day
GOD is always previous, what does that mean to you? To me, it means nothing is a surprise to GOD. GOD knows everything about you, HE knows the past, the present, and your future. Nothing surprises HIM, nothing!
Here is where we struggle, we do not know the future. We know the past, and can do things to learn from our past, but in life, there are going to be surprises. So, when something bad happens in our lives, we feel all alone. We feel that we have to solve the problem all on our own. We might even get a little mad at GOD and ask how could You let this happen to me? Have you ever been there?
Now, here is what we need to remember. This bad thing that is happening to you, is not a surprise to GOD. GOD knew this was going to happen to you. Since GOD knows this about you, he has been working days, months, maybe even years to help or prepare you for this problem. So when we cry to GOD and say, "How could YOU let this happen?" GOD looks down, smiles, and says, "My child, I knew about this a long time ago, let me show you the way out."
If you remember, we had a surprise this month. Remember the devotional I am Tested we had a surprise with the IRS and owing quite a few taxes. My first reaction was to freak out, but I really tried to put all my trust in Jesus and that He would take care of us. I am happy to say Jesus did. We had the best month in sales that we have had in the history of the company. EVER.
Jesus had been working even before our problem happened. I noticed that the first of this month we had unusually large sales, hence the saying GOD is always previous. GOD was working on my problem even before it happened. HE is amazing, isn't He? Have a Blessed Day! - Jim

The command that has come to be known as the GOLDEN RULE, is named most likely because of its great affect on our lives if followed. All the acts of others that we would have come toward us let us do to them. Let us not act from selfishness or injustice, but put ourselves in the place of others. This would destroy so much of the sin that has a hold on in the world.
I found this statement and thought it worthy to rmember: "this law is what the balance-wheel is to machinery. It would prevent all irregularity of movement in the moral world."
This is the law and the prophets:
That is, this is the sum or substance of the Old Testament.
It is nowhere found in the exavy words, but this verse is a summary, expression of all that the law required. This thought was in use among the Jews and said by a Rabbi of old, Hillel, to a man who wished to become a proselyte, and who asked him to teach him the whole law, "Whatever is hateful to you, do not do to another." Something of the same sentiment was found among the ancient Greeks and Romans.
