How Jesus Died For You

How Jesus Died For You

Read 55 Amazing Facts on Jesus Death

Below are facts on How Jesus Died For You. I do not think that we really understand how much Jesus did for us. Please share this post to spread the Good News of Jesus.

Crucifixion was invented by the Persians in 300 BC, and perfected by the Romans in 100 BC.

1. It is the most painful death ever invented by man and is where we get our term "excruciating."

2. It was reserved primarily for the most vicious of male criminals.

3. Jesus was stripped naked and His clothing divided by the Roman guards. This was in fulfillment of Psalm 22:18, "They divide My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots."

4. The Crucifixion of Jesus guaranteed a horrific, slow, painful death.

5. Jesus' knees were flexed at about 45 degrees, and He was forced to bear His
weight with the muscles of His thigh, which is not an anatomical position which is possible to maintain for more than a few minutes without severe cramp in the muscles of the thigh and calf.

6. Jesus' weight was borne on His feet, with nails driven through them. As the strength of the muscles of Jesus' lower limbs tired, the weight of His body had to be transferred to His wrists, His arms, and His shoulders.

7. Within a few minutes of being placed on the Cross, Jesus' shoulders were dislocated. Minutes later Jesus' elbows and wrists became dislocated.

8. The result of these upper limb dislocations is that His arms were 9 inches longer than normal, as clearly shown on the Shroud.

9. In addition prophecy was fulfilled in Psalm 22:14, "I am poured out like water, and all My bones are out of joint."

10. After Jesus' wrists, elbows, and shoulders were dislocated, the weight of His body on his upper limbs caused traction forces on the Pectoralis Major muscles of His chest wall.

See Amazing Pictures of Jesus On Pinterest
11. These traction forces caused His rib cage to be pulled upwards and outwards, in a most unnatural state. His chest wall was permanently in a position of maximal respiratory inspiration. In order to exhale, Jesus was physiologically required to force His body.

12. In order to breathe out, Jesus had to push down on the nails in His feet to raise His body, and allow His rib cage to move downwards and inwards to expire air from His lungs.

13. His lungs were in a resting position of constant maximum inspiration. Crucifixion is a medical catastrophe.

14. The problem was that Jesus could not easily push down on the nails in His feet because the muscles of His legs, bent at 45 degrees, were extremely fatigued, in severe cramp, and in an anatomically compromised position.

15. Unlike all Hollywood movies about the Crucifixion, the victim was extremely active. The crucified victim was physiologically forced to move up and down the cross, a distance of about 12 inches, in order to breathe.

16. The process of respiration caused excruciating pain, mixed with the absolute terror of asphyxiation.

17. As the six hours of the Crucifixion wore on, Jesus was less and less able to bear His weight on His legs, as His thigh and calf muscles became increasingly exhausted. There was increasing dislocation of His wrists, elbows and shoulders, and further elevation of His chest wall, making His breathing more and more difficult. Within minutes of crucifixion Jesus became severely dyspnoeic (short of breath).

18. His movements up and down the Cross to breathe caused excruciating pain in His wrist, His feet, and His dislocated elbows and shoulders.

19. The movements became less frequent as Jesus became increasingly exhausted, but the terror of imminent death by asphyxiation forced Him to continue in His efforts to breathe.

20. Jesus' lower limb muscles developed excruciating cramp from the effort of pushing down on His legs, to raise His body, so that He could breathe out, in their anatomically compromised position.

21. The pain from His two shattered median nerves in His wrists exploded with every movement.

22. Jesus was covered in blood and sweat.

23. The blood was a result of the Scourging that nearly killed Him, and the sweat as a result of His violent involuntary attempts to effort to expire air from His lungs. Throughout all this He was completely naked, and the leaders of the Jews, the crowds, and the thieves on both sides of Him were jeering, swearing and laughing at Him. In addition, Jesus' own mother was watching.

24. Physiologically, Jesus' body was undergoing a series of catastrophic and terminal events.

25. Because Jesus could not maintain adequate ventilation of His lungs, He was now in a state of hypo-ventilation (inadequate ventilation).

26. His blood oxygen level began to fall, and He developed Hypoxia (low blood oxygen). In addition, because of His restricted respiratory movements, His blood carbon dioxide (CO2) level began to rise, a condition known as Hypercritical.

27. This rising CO2 level stimulated His heart to beat faster in order to increase the delivery of oxygen, and the removal of CO2.

28. The Respiratory Center in Jesus' brain sent urgent messages to his lungs to breathe faster, and Jesus began to pant.

29. Jesus' physiological reflexes demanded that He took deeper breaths, and He involuntarily moved up and down the Cross much faster, despite the excruciating pain. The agonizing movements spontaneously started several times a minute, to the delight of the crowd who jeered Him, the Roman soldiers, and the Sanhedrin.

30. However, due to the nailing of Jesus to the Cross and His increasing exhaustion, He was unable to provide more oxygen to His oxygen starved body.

31. The twin forces of Hypoxia (too little oxygen) and Hypercapnia (too much CO2) caused His heart to beat faster and faster, and Jesus developed Tachycardia.

32. Jesus' heart beat faster and faster, and His pulse rate was probably about 220 beats/minute, the maximum normally sustainable.

33. Jesus had drunk nothing for 15 hours, since 6 pm the previous evening. Jesus had endured a scourging which nearly killed Him.

34. He was bleeding from all over His body following the Scourging, the crown of thorns, the nails in His wrists and feet, and the lacerations following His beatings and falls.

35. Jesus was already very dehydrated, and His blood pressure fell alarmingly.

36. His blood pressure was probably about 80/50.

37. He was in First Degree Shock, with Hypovolaemia (low blood volume), Tachycardia (excessively fast Heart Rate), Tachypnoea (excessively fast Respiratory Rate), and Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

38. By about noon Jesus' heart probably began to fail.

39. Jesus' lungs probably began to fill up with Pulmonary Oedema.

40. This only served to exacerbate His breathing, which was already severely compromised.

41. Jesus was in Heart Failure and Respiratory Failure.

42. Jesus said, "I thirst" because His body was crying out for fluids.

43. Jesus was in desperate need of an intravenous infusion of blood and plasma to save His life

44. Jesus could not breathe properly and was slowly suffocating to death.

45. At this stage Jesus probably developed a Haemopericardium.

46. Plasma and blood gathered in the space around His heart, called the Pericardium.

47. This fluid around His heart caused Cardiac Tamponade (fluid around His heart, which prevented Jesus' heart from beating properly).

48. Because of the increasing physiological demands on Jesus' heart, and the advanced state of Haemopericardium, Jesus probably eventually sustained Cardiac Rupture. His heart literally burst. This was probably the cause of His death.

49. To slow the process of death the soldiers put a small wooden seat on the Cross, which would allow Jesus the "privilege" of bearing His weight on his sacrum.

50. The effect of this was that it could take up to nine days to die on a Cross.

51. When the Romans wanted to expedite death they would simply break the legs of the victim, causing the victim to suffocate in a matter of minutes. This was called Crucifragrum.

52. At three o'clock in the afternoon Jesus said, "Tetelastai," meaning, "It is finished." At that moment, He gave up His Spirit, and He died.

53. When the soldiers came to Jesus to break His legs, He was already dead. Not a bone of His body was broken, in fulfillment of prophecy (above).

54. Jesus died after six hours of the most excruciating and terrifying torture ever invented.

55. Jesus died so that ordinary people like you and me could go to Heaven.

All He Asks You is to Love Him, Your Lord, Your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind!! Can't you even do this for Him?

If the Watchtower corporation says stake then stake it is. Don't use your mind to think, just keep slaving for the discreet slave class that got there info from the angel that Jesus sent to the Brooklyn headquarters to tell them it was a stake and not really that painful, it was actually fun. It didn't really mean anything but for you to keep working your butt off til you die and donate all your assets to the corporation to keep them multibillionaires while you live like a pauper. Get a brain because this life does matter

You could not be further wrong from the truth my friend. I am not a jehovah's witness but I did attend their memorial last friday out of curiosity and it was astonishing at how they really are. The amount of kindness and the TRUTH they speak! They follow the bible completely unlike the rest of Christianity

Think about this, and as a former Catholic, it is DISGUSTING how the Catholic church is!! Do you think if Jesus where to return to earth and see the gowns and adornments the POPE who is "the representation of God here on Earth" and see all his riches he would not be disgusted?! The messiah barely had a place to live since he devoted his life to PREACHING! The pope has an entire COUNTRY with its own Military!! The wars being waged from people in the same RELIGION!!! Catholics vs. Catholics! Muslims vs. Muslims etc!

Your hatred Blinds you! It's incredible! I'm so happy i've escaped the false dogma of Christianity. At my old church people wouldn't even recognize me, and one lady even went so far as to criticize me because i was poor and couldn't give any money to the pastor.

I'm happy i found people who follow jesus christs instructions (Mathew 24:14) and who are benevolent and kind with one another. I'm happy i found THE TRUTH.

What a delightful story!
I want to follow this grim religion based on torture and death because that's how god shows he loves me.

This brought tears to my eyes, because it is real. Jesus died on the cross and suffered all this for you and me. Thank you Jesus.

And thank you for posting this.

If anyone doesn't believe that the earth exists, does that make it disappear? No, it just makes him a fool. The fool says in his heart that there in no God. And Jesus died on the cross, not on a stake. Please save yourself and stop making foolish comments. Stop arguing and accept the truth. It will save your life.

Also, this is not the place to demean other people. If you speak badly about the pope or anyone else, then you don't know Christ.

This is Amazing, all the ridiculous comments posted on how, why, where and if Jesus died or existed. For all those that believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, Our Savior..... Pray for those that disparage, that don't believe, that talk Evil about our Faith, as Christians we must not mock those that don't believe, but show them Love, show them Mercy, Show the Peace..... "For Christ died for ALL of us, not just the few Chosen..... Do Not Judge if you wish not to be Judged.... Let he that has no sin cast the first stone..... We must show Mercy, Compassion and Love to those that don't believe.... and let them continue as they wish. For God so Loved "All The World" That he gave his only begotten Son, that who ever believes in Him, Shall Have not Perish but have Eternal Life ... Love You All and God Bless You All !

How many boys do you think there was that used that story to save their moms, and yet there is only one who managed to influance more that half the world in some way. More than 2000 years have gone by and yet the story is still believed by almost half of civilisation. Could it be that the reason is that Jesus performed so many miricles, or was it the love he showed by going so far in keeping to the story that he eventually died because of it and said it was for us... or was it the possibility that he actualy did rise from the dead and this confinced the deciples that He is trully what he said he was - the Son of God. I think if this was just a simple story told by a boy who tried to save his mom's life then it would have died on the cross that day. But the fact that it is believed still today shows that something extraordinary had to have happened that day to change the world forever. And don't forget, the events that led to that day was already cast in stone and on scrolls before it happened - coincidence? I think not. You can chose to ignore the "story" and take the risk of ending up in hell as what the story states will happen or you can decide to believe the truth and accept Jesus as your lord and nothing major changes in your life, but if the "story" is true then you will have everlasting life. So what do you have to lose if you decide to believw the story? You have a lot to lose if this is yhe truth and you decided not yo believe it.

If you chose to believe in facts rather than faith then you should concider doing the research before you just accept that it does not exist. Your eternal life might depend on it...

I do not post any comments on these types of blogs because all it creates is anger, frustration, and indifference. The Bible teaches us to treat each other as we would like to be treated; to love one another no matter your color or belief. I am a follower of Christ ( a Christian), and now more than ever everyone needs to know about our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. We should not be treating those who do not believe as our enemies ( as I see being done here in these posts) Jesus said love our enemies and pray for them. How will those who do not currently believe in our Lord and savior find truth in Christianity if we God's people are no different than those who do not believe? You can't do wrong to those who do wrong to you. That's not what Jesus taught. Forgive those who have done wrong to you and pray that they too may be blessed and saved. The world is full of different religion's and that is the root of all wars and evil. For those of you who don't believe and consider yourself "Athiest", I want to apologize on behalf of those who on this blog disrespected you, or put you down. They are not bad people, but hey are people with great conviction and love for God. They wanted to share their conviction to you but in the end were frustrated and acted out with their emotions. The Holy Spirit is the only one that can reveal his truth to you and and convince you that he is Jesus Christ that died on the cross for ALL man kind to be forgiven of our sins and to have have eternal life with him in heaven. I will pray for God to touch your hearts and reveal himself to you as he's done for me and millions of others.

I want to challenge you non-believers to pick up a book written by an Athiest at the time he was writing the book. The authors name is Lee Strobel he is a legal journalist. He wrote the book to prove to his wife (who gave her life to Christ and became a Christian after marriage) and others that Christ could not be real. He was fascinated by the fundamental changes in her character, her integrity, and her personal confidence. He wanted to get to the bottom of what was prompting his wife to make a shift in her attitude. So being the journalist that he is, he launched an all out investigation into the facts of Christianity. He set aside his self interest and prejudice, he read books, interviewed experts, asked questions, analyzed history, explored archaeology, studied ancient literature, and for the first time ever read the Bible verse by verse.

If you have been basing your spiritual outlook on the evidence you have observed from people around you, don't let it be your conclusion. Lee Strobel asks "If you were to dig deeper - to confront your preconceptions and systematically see out proof-what would you find?" The name of the book is "The Case For Christ". I challenge you to pick up this book put your prejudice aside and read it.

May God bless you all!

BULLSHIT! Jesus didn't die for our sins or period. He is not GOD nor his son as GOD would had to have sex with Mary. So, fooled are the masses. He died for my sins! He didn't even know me and he supposedly came back to life but if you died for my sins and then you come back to life that means you took back that dying for my sins crap! Foolishness!

Murder is a sin. IF I murder someone, I cant tell the pigs that Jesus died for that sin so no need to arrest me! There's a thousand versions of the bible, which is true? If Baptist, Pentecost, Catholic all believe in the same scriptures and the same Jesus, why is there different denominations? Because its just a cleverly crafted scam and its going to cost a lot of people dearly!

It is important how Jesus died. You need to recognise how the Watchtower has lied to you about this and ask the question how many other lies have they told you. Try looking at Romans 8:9-11 and adking why the middle verse has the added words "union with". They are not in the Greek and the verses either side have not been added to in this way, why is that?

Wow a bunch of brain washed people. Lets see jesus was against the church tore the church's apart yet the church after his death used his story on top of there own to enslave mankind and become powerful and rich. Think that about sums it all up.

Most of the people on this forum who don't believe what Jesus did is basing those beliefs on what they see on TV or hear from a friend and other people over the years. But if you actualy take the time to spend time with a group of Christians who actualy live for Jesus then you will quickly realise that He really does exist and is alive. The bible says: Where 2 or more people come together in My name, there I will be. Try it. Go spend some time in a church that really serves God and then say He does not exist. If you don't then your stories about Him not existing is merely hearsay. Very dangerous to base your beliefs on what other people say when you have not tried it yourself. The bible also says that it is the Holy Spirt that calls you to Him. This os your call. Don't ignore it. You might just change your views when you answer the call.

For one thing is that Jesus truly did not die on a cross, Bible proves that because it states that Jesus was a Jew and died according to Jewish law. He did not die according to Roman law. Yes it is true that the Romans used crosses to kill those who were criminals. According to the Jew's Jesus was a criminal in their eyes. Go read what Jewish law was for criminals and you will find all your answers. You may think it's petty to argue how Jesus died but if the prophecies of Jesus are not fulfilled correctly then how can we believe that it was Jesus who died that way. Jesus is a King now, the first born of all creation. Sitting at the right hand of God. Waiting for the day of his Father's vengeance upon wicked mankind and those who worship false god's. Babylon the great the empire of false religion will fall and we she falls Yahweh will be vindicated.

For the message about the cross is nonsense to those who are being destroyed, but it is God's power to us who are being saved.

Just what I was thinking. Jesus always spoke in love. Love your neighbor as yourself. When people wouldn't hear Jesus, He would only reply they couldn't hear because their hearts where hardened.

Good question. I think that Jesus would have also been nervous to know that He would be suffering for EVERY SINGLE PERSON on earth for our sins and weaknesses. It would be an infinite suffering. Something that we would never, ever have an idea what he went through. With His mortal body, He would probably be nervous to wonder if He would complete the task knowing the incomprehensible pain He would go through. But, because of His love for us and for His Father, he completed the most difficult task ever to be done. After death, He was also the first to be resurrected and conquer death! How beautiful is the plan of our God and what hope that gives to us who are lost and down.

According to the bible It was written about Jesus just the tiniest life of Jesus and you would see in the Matthew ,mark, luck and john that is it,so if you read John 21:25
Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were everyone of them to be written,I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written
Imagine if you go to the library you will pick up one book then you read it you are gonna say I know that people don't you think you are the man but there are many books to read because you read just only one book

I just want to ask all the atheists. What do you believe in?
What is it that gives you hope when you are in despair? What do you seek when you are lost?
Do you criticize fath? Do you believe in Evolution? If you do, I just want to say that Evolution demands as much faith as any other religion does. Evolution has yet to prove the existence of the "middle creature". For example, one that is both human and yet ape. Scientists say that the Coelacanth which is a fish from prehistoric times is a proof of evolution. However, the fish's biological construction and shape is exactly like the fossil of them found from dinosouric times. This proves that the fish had not changed after all the times and once again confuses us more. If the fish was from pre-historic times, doesn't that mean that it had plenty of time? Didn't survive the extinction of the dinosaurs? Didn't it face challenges? Then why is it still the same fish if there was plenty of time and reason to evolve?

Great read, but it is crucial that people know that "loving God" is not what gets you to Heaven. We must first repent of our sinful nature and trust the Savior.

"From that time on Jesus began to preach, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.'" Matthew 4:17

I do love the fact that some said he didnt die on the cross! HE gave up his spirit..

How can a person without sin die??? This is the seperation of religions in america..

My Christ had to die for one reason, To Fulfill the Word. Why did HE come to earth....? To tesify to the the Truth!! I wont quote Scriptures but I can. I am the way the truth and the light, no man comes to the father but thru me.... When pilot asked Him why are you here? HE said " to testify to the TRUTH" Ill finish there, and most people can figure out im Baptist, But im also solid bible beliving and interpreting my own straight bible verses. ... ill look forward to any coments

It says that there was a sign above His head that read Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews in Latin, Hebrew, and Greek. Now what that means is that there was room above His head to fit that sign. Meaning that it was a + cross. How could there have been any room for the sign if His hands were above Him? And how come the deaths of Him and the 2 theives that were with Him take so long if their hands were above their heads? Both theives had their legs broken in order to hasten their deaths. All the evidence points to a + shaped cross.

Many suffered the same physical death, yes. What is not mentioned here is that each wrongdoing, every sickness, mental and physical, every pain, emotional, physical & spiritual was placed upon Jesus' body & soul on the cross. The word says He was disfigured beyond recognition. This is the reason. No matter the shape of or terminology used for the cross at the time. In the face of it all, that is not even relevant to His suffering. Jesus was then sent to hell in our place to pay the price of our ransom. He was resurrected on the 3rd day. This is the real price He paid. Not just a physical event. On top of it all, every step He took toward the cross, He knew what He would have to go through. So much more than just hanging from the "cross". That is why He prayed for that cup to pass from Him. Yet He did it for us, & in obedience to His Father. Hope this clarifies things for you. Love

Such moving and spirited dialogue, impregnated with diverse views, whether athiest, agnostic, Christian or just Godly minded. With respect to the sensitivities of all, please realize the premise of the article was from 1960s medical perspective and occasionally revived. At best it is a combination of fiction and nonfiction, porous throughout. The subject merits greater accuracy and an objective approach. As a physician who has spent an entire career teaching, lecturing, practicing and specializing in Trauma & Emergency Medicine, I have studied the crucifixion from the trauma perspective as well as historical and "religious". The reality is that every scientist, historian, & "expert" must endure all personal bias & concede that we are trumped by the verdict of Pontius Pilate as expressed when he was asked after the crucifixion for the body of Jesus. This Roman Governor whose government had practiced uncountable crucifixions, was & still remains the truest expert whom we must concede our "expert testimony" whether we like it or not. His undeniable & spontaneous response was, "What?...is he dead"??
You see, he was in utter disbelief because this crucifixion was never meant to kill Jesus, especially in the matter of hours he suffered after the lashings & torture. A sea of Trauma literature demonstrates survival from horrific trauma and especially in the case of Jesus, the historical evidence of survival is even more compelling than that of death.
Let us consider this: since the views blogged & expressed by the many contributors include atheists as well as non athiests, it is well understood that there are many arguments from athiests for no God as there are even more arguments from non athiests favoring the existence of God.
In like, while there may exist some medical articles on the death of Jesus, I assure you we also have a powerful and compelling case for the survival of Jesus from the Trauma, Medical, Biblical as well as Historical perspective. So what does that change? A beautiful man of God who spoke only of good was brutally inflicted for his love for mankind and his Creator. I for one have a deeper profound love and regard for such an individual that we call the Christ.
A career in Trauma has given me humility and pause to reflect on the resilience of the human body and it's will to survive. I will do my best to keep in the loop of discussion time permitting but do hope that we appreciate the reality & glory in his survival of the cross to trump that which is perceived in his death. It is important how you support how he died. One way embraces pagan practices and pagan Gods, the other acknowledges how he truly died, on a upright stake. If you embrace the popularly accepted pagan practices, then you truly dishonor God, Jesus and the Ransom that was provided for you.

Just like taking a prostitute out to dinner in celebration of your wedding anniversary. Something detestable interjected into the honorable marriage arrangement. And just as your mate would feel disrespected and hurt, God and his son, Jesus are not pleased when pagan customs are used to supposedly honor them.

The only thing I do not understand and the only thing I have trouble accepting, is why he cares about humanity! Why he would do such a thing for me! THAT is hard to believe!!!

Being a Hebrew and Greek teacher for 30 years I agree with everything you said until you got to the point about going to Heaven. This is one of the biggest misunderstandings of the Bible. The Jewish people never believed in going to heaven nor does the old or new testament ever discuss the concept of going to heaven. Mankind was given the earth and the universe to reign and rule.

While mankind sits and waits for the day they arrive in heaven they forget the original decree Yahuah gave to his creation. To subdue and have dominion on the Earth. The bible never tells us we go to heaven when we die, we rather sleep in a state of unconsciousness until we are resurrected. The problem is mankind is waiting around to be resurrected when it was Yahusha (Jesus) who taught us that WE have the power to raise the dead NOW. We have the power to have all the glorious standards of living like Kings and Queens TODAY, not tomorrow, not future tense, but NOW. The problem is people are thinking they have to wait to arrive at some future cloud city when that is not true. Hence mankind suffers and perishes without ever truly realizing their true potential.

T style crucifixions didn't even begin for nearly 300 years later. The original responder was correct. Quit trying to marginalize his "very accurate" account to justify the existence of the cross of your religion. Know your history first, then decide the truth... not the other way around.
It was a nice attempt by the person writing the article in explaining what does happen when your hands are nailed above your head... but the T we all know is false. It was well established by the pagan religion of that date and period... the Romans of that time NEVER used a T to crucify anyone, let alone Jesus. Sorry, but history speaks louder than fable.

Matthew 27:37 "Above his head they placed the written charge against him, THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS." I'm no expert in crucifixion, but it seems to me, if he were crucified on a stake, or pole, the sign would have been placed above his hands. However, the sign attached above Jesus head would indicate outstretched arms as on a cross.

You don't seem to understand Anonymous, God the Father didn't just send His Son to die for your sins and mine, God the Father took on flesh and became the Son. You see, Jesus is God. We do not have three gods. God is One. The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are One God. God is a Trinity. He all three at one time. Jesus was crucified because he said he was God.

This article is accurate and fairly well-written (although the ad links in the text are distracting). However, when someone posts this on a medium like facebook, the image at the top shows in the preview together with a claim – "Jesus did not die on a cross, the word cross was added on the bible, the original Greek word was stake" – which is just FALSE (and, frankly, clickbait trash). The greek word for cross (stauros / σταυρός) occurs 27 times in the greek New Testament. It was not "added to the Bible." And the english term "cross" is not a bad translation (see below).

It IS true that the arms of Jesus were lifted over his head, as was always the case for crucifixions. And it is true that the cross ("stauros") can take different forms – a simple stake, or a stake/pole with a cross bar. In the Roman Empire, the cross typically (and perhaps always) had the cross bar. There were three forms – the form that most westerners are familiar with (✝), one shaped like a letter "T", and one shaped like a letter "X" (called the St Andrew's cross, as the apostle Andrew was crucified on one of these).

(When you publish something, take the time to be accurate. Blessings.)

I know the argument WAY back in the beginning of this was whether or not Jesus was crucified on a singular pole or on a cross. Well, when the Angel appeared to the shepherds in the field and told them “Fear Not…” then he said, “This shall be a sign unto you, you shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes”. Well, back in the Bible days when a baby was born, they would use strips of thick cloth and wrap the baby. They would wrap each arm individually, straight out to the side. Then they would wrap the legs together, straight down. Just picture in your mind what that might look like when the shepherds got there. Do you think that if those shepherds were young when that Angel appeared to them, they might still have been alive when Jesus was crucified? What do you this they IMMEDIATELY thought of when they saw Jesus hanging on the Old Rugged Cross? “This shall be a SIGN unto you”!!! Everything in the Bible is there for a reason. God NEVER makes a mistake!

Sometimes, people might get stuck on just Jesus dying on the cross, but without him dying, there wouldn’t have been shedding of his blood. So no forgiveness of our sins. So, we wouldn’t be able to have life, and have it abundantly! Praise God that Jesus arose and is alive and alive forever more. But Thank you Jesus for bearing my sins and dying in my place. While he was on the cross, I was on his mind!

I do not understand 'the point', which is supposedly that Jesus died and that benefits everybody? Even if you accept, which I don't, that everybody did something wrong (i.e. is 'in sin') just by being born, what would an ancient singular event matter to that? Doesn't mean anything to me, other than academic inquiry into history and human behaviors. How does a rational person come to a conclusion that this event solved or saved anything? What is the rational explanation of a mechanism involved here?

No man takes my life from me. I know this is the correct technical discription of crucifixion but there's just too much talking going on to fit the suffocation scenario. Especially when He cries out in a loud voice when he gave up His spirit. The timetable is skewed as well. Crucifixion could take days. This is why they would break the legs of the condemned on the dsy before a holiday such as passover in this instance. So as not to desecrate the event. However when they sought Pilate's permission to take the body He would not release it until a centurion confirmed Jesus was in fact dead and "Pilate marveled that He was dead already". This is significant in that Pilate's eyewitness opinion of Jesus condition prior to crucifixion made him doubtful that Jusus was already dead and required the validation of the centurion. I think based on the Pilates expertise and reaction, and all the vocal statements by Christ, death by crucifixion i.e. suffocation should be reconsidered. No man took His life. He laid it down freely and had the power to pick it up again. And did.

Of course it matters how Jesus died; His death, along with everything else, had to fulfill Bible prophesy. And for the person who said she, or he, would have assisted in taking Jesus down off the cross to end his suffering, it couldn't have been done. Jesus had to die the way He did in order to atone for our sins, which was planned from the beginning of time, and no one, nothing, no sense of empathy and compassion could have ever changed that. Remember, no one killed Jesus; He was not murdered. He gave up His life willingly and did not take His last breath until the Holy Spirit told Him it was time.

I quote this article, "Throughout all this, He was completely naked, and the leaders of the Jews, the crowds, and the thieves on both sides of Him were jeering, swearing and laughing at Him."
So let's see if I have this correct. The two thieves, who were crucified on each side of him, were able to put off their pain in order to "jeer, swear, and laugh"??
Hmm and here I thought they'd have been busy doing all those things Jesus was doing to try to stay alive. I suppose they would have rather laughed than lived, right?

But I do think, it might have been a little different. he spoke a lot of works on the cross. If his lungs were without air, and if he was in such pain, I don't know if he could have spoken all those works. remember, the two men on the cross with him also spoke to him, and he spoke back. Like I said it doesn't matter, all that matters is that he gave his life for us.

I feel sorry for all you people who live in denial of the FACT JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN IS THROUGH HIM, not Allah, Muhammad, Buddha etc. JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY. HE DID DIE ON THE CROSS FOR OUR SINS WEATHER YOU WANT TO BELIEVE IT OR NOT. WE ARE IN THE LAST DAYS OF HIS COMING AND YOU MUST BELIEVE IN HIM. THERE WILL AND IS NO PEACE IN ALLAH, MUHAMMED, BUDDHA ETC FOR THEY TEACH YOU HATE AND VIOLENCE, JESUS TEACHES US ABOUT, LOVE, PEACE CARING FOR EACH OTHER. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR WAYS FOR ALL OF US ARE BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF CHRIST. ENTERNITY IS FOREVER AND IF YOU WANT TO LIVE ENTERNITY IN HELL THEN KEEP BELIEVING IN YOUR WAYS FOR YOU WILL get you thrown into the pit of fire, so please change your ways, in JESUS NAME I PRAY/

Dear Pastor, Brother & Sister in Christ,
Greetings to you in Jesus’ name!
I am Bashir from India! God has asked me to reach out especially to the Muslims with The Gospel of Christ and plant Churches among them. God is using me for His own glory among the Muslims.
I am seeking more prayers of God’s saints around the world. My daughter Noorie’s life is in danger. Therefore, I am in great need of your kind prayers & intercessions for her life. She has developed friendship with my former care taker of the Church building who is a lair, unfaithful and morally corrupted boy. God’s Spirit led me to found your contact address through Google search so that you could pray & intercede with my prayer request.
Please pray that God’s Spirit will convicts Noorie’s heart and she will break this unholy & inappropriate friendship for His own glory. Please pray that Noorie will give priority to Jesus in her life and LOVE TO HIM BY OBEYING HIS COMMANDMENTS.
Regards,
Bashir

There are several mistakes made in these post: 1. There were not 12 people saved from the flood. There was only 8, Noah and his wife, Noah's 3 sons and their wives. 2. When Jesus arose after 3 days, He arose in the flesh. Had He arose in spirit He could not have been seen by Mary nor could she have heard Him tell her to go and tell the Apostles. Doubting Thomas could not have seen or heard Christ tell him to put his hand in His scars. There is nothing to be gained by argueing or giving our personal openions. The only way to find and come to know Jesus is to attend church and learn of Him. Jesus loves me this i know (everybody) for the Bible tells me so. I love Christ and also you.

I believe in God and I believe the pain he suffered that day are more then any mortal can undertake but bashing other people for not being religious is not right, it would be nice if more people believe in Christ but if other don’t they don’t have to and it doesn’t make them a bad person, I believe in Christ and hope other can feel that even if their problems in are world or sickness and death their still a god that paid for our sins and I’m grateful for all he does for us!
